A hair transplant is a long-term permanent solution and surgical procedure in which hair follicles are transplanted from one part of the head to another part where the hair is thinning or receding.
Hair transplantation is a surgical technique that carefully and painlessly removes hair follicles from one part of the body, called the ‘donor site’, to a balding part of the body known as the ‘recipient site’. · With the DHI hair transplant technique, the CHOI pen opens a canal into the head and implants the hair simultaneously, avoiding direct contact with the roots and minimising follicle damage.
· It is much easier to implant the hairs at a specific angle with the DHI hair transplant method to provide a more natural look.
· Because the CHOI pen directly implants hairs into the head there is less bleeding than with FUE hair transplants resulting in faster recovery and less swelling.
· DHI hair transplant technology allows for a significantly thicker result in smaller areas such as the hairline, as the technique specific to DHI hair transplant allows for transplantation of nearly 2.5 times the number of grafts per area compared to FUE hair transplants. This also makes DHI hair transplant treatments the preferred method for scar coverage.
· The healing and recovery time for DHI hair transplant patients is much shorter.
· The first hair washes for a DHI hair transplant patient are performed 24 hours post-treatment, while FUE hair transplant patients must wait 48 hours post-treatment.
· DHI hair transplant treatments can be performed on patients without shaving the head.
· The FUE hair transplant method is much more successful for those with larger balded areas requiring 4000+ grafts.
